Catching Up

Yesterday I spent all day catching up on class work that I neglected while I recovered from my cyst removal and made headbands to cover the wound while my hair grows back there. My point is, I was pretty distracted too much this week and I had to hunker down and really hit the books (well screens), I actually only have one book, which I read first on audible but found difficult to cite. So I broke down and purchased a used hard copy. I can’t really remember the last actual textbook I purchased. Mostly I rent digital copies. I have a pretty sweet set up with my old IPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Jon also set me up with a monitor and laptop mount so I can essentially have all three screens working for me at any given time.

Today I worked. It was a busy lactation shift. Right now we are working without a contract. I haven’t been through this process yet, so I’m not really sure what to expect, nor how normal this is. It’s been 2 months already and the updates that we get from both sides sing very different tunes. I’m trying to trust the process, but it’s not easy in a global pandemic during the most divisive election in my lifetime.
